2007 Chicago Outdoors Show

Rosemont IL - January 11 - January 14, 2007 - Four teams from Chesapeake, Brandy Fowler & Buddy, Brian Rutledge & Mishka, Carly Keane & Daisy Lou, and Sharon Rodgers & Thunder made the looooooong 11 hour plus trip out to Chicago for the first DockDog Event of 2007.  Angie Jones & Nestle and Tim Kline & Bella from the Keystone Club also joined them in the caravan all hoping to make a good East Coast showing.  Much to their dismay, the bubble to get into the Amateur Final was over 21'.  Tim & Bella did make a showing in the Amateur Finals with a 9th Place finish.

Carly & Daisy Lou had a grand old time at Daisy Lou's VERY FIRST DOCKDOG EVENT.  She just turned seven months old and was raring to go.  She received a Personal Best of 12' 3" - pretty good for such a little yellow dog who was exhausted by the end of the weekend.  And, in four out of five waves, she won either a Novice or Junior placement:  2nd Place Junior 11' 6", 3rd Place Junior 11' 1", 3rd Place Novice 7' 1", and 2nd Place Junior 12' 3"  Go Daisy Lou!

Brian & Mishka jumped to a new National Personal Best of 16' 9" along with Sharon & Thunder with a new National Personal Best of 17' 5".  The fun we had was worth the long trip - Carly finding restaurants, Tim falling down the stairs, Bella taking a flying leap onto Brian in the middle of the night, Bella's ride home with Nestle, Daisy Lou's & Buddy's FIRST run for freedom with only Sharon & Thunder to catch them....  Luckily, the winter weather held off until a small ice storm on the way home.  Click here for more club details or here for complete event results.
